Microwave Chemical Co., Ltd. (Suita-city, Osaka; CEO: YOSHINO Iwao; referred to below as “we/the Company”)　has completed the delivery of its “SiriusWave” microwave-based multi-stage freeze dryer to Asahi Group Foods Ltd. and has started phase-up demonstration tests for commercialization.

As described in our press release dated November 7, 2022^※ , we have been working with Asahi Group Foods, a leading manufacturer of freeze-dried foods, to jointly develop microwave-based freeze-drying technology for their instant food production. We have recently completed delivery of a “SiriusWave” multi-stage microwave freeze-drying system to the manufacturing plant of Asahi Group Foods.

We plan to conduct demonstration tests under various conditions using SiriusWave to reduce drying time and improve quality. After the demonstration tests are completed, we plan to continue development toward commercialization.
By continuing to promote sales of SiriusWave, we aim to promote microwave freeze-drying not only for food products but also for electrical materials and pharmaceutical applications.
